Ashok Leyland recently introduced a new series in 3718 – 3718 Plus, fitted with Michelin “X Guard” tyres. Its understood that these are exclusive and are currently available in market only with “Ashok Leyland 3718 ”. Ashok Leyland has claimed, 3718 Plus is offering 10% fuel savings, 225 kgs of more payload and 10% extra tyre life. This is recommended for both side rated load and return load empty operations.
Within 3 months of introduction, Ashok Leyland have sold more than 1000 trucks and we also understand there is a good pull from market as well. Powered by ‘H’ series 180hp iEGR BS IV engine, many customers have certified performance of this model through video and written testimonials as well. Ashok Leyland has increased the value by offering newer features like Untized Wheel Bearings, which is one more “Industry First” initiative by Ashok Leyland in this segment (next to MAN Trucks).
In Trucks with Unitized Wheel Bearings, grease is packed for life and no periodical hub greasing, end play adjustment or periodical bearing replacement are required. Over and above all this, it also helps in improving tyre life.Unitized Wheel Bearings are now available as an optional feature on 3718 & 3118 Lift Axle models and will be expanded to other ranges progressively.
