KSRTC enters Limca book of records

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), which is known for lot of innovative concepts and services, recently bagged National e-Governance Gold Award from department of administrative reforms and public grievances and ministry of electronics and information technology during the national conference on e-governance.

Including  this, KSRTC has in all received 107 awards from 2008 to 2016, becoming the first state road transport corporation in the country to have entered the Limca Book of Records. So far, the KSRTC has bagged 165 national and international awards.

Its also to be noted that, KSRTC for the first time in its history reported a gross profit of Rs 114.95 crore during 2015-2016. The 212 depots of the four corporations will get automated fuel facilities free of cost and save Rs 358 crore for three years. For the first time 25 multi axle buses with 100% bio-diesel have been inducted.

While swiping machines have been provided in 110 counters of KSRTC and free wifi facility has been provided at 24 important bus stations, all 156 KSRTC bus stations and 8317 buses, 166 NWKRTC bus stations, 4785 buses, 136 NEKRTC bus stations and 4346 buses will soon get free wifi facility.
