We have always seen trucks with a standard sad face with pre-independent round head lamps, twin / split wind screens. They are blunt, mostly painted in dark brown and honestly there wasn’t anything, that one can get inspired by. But when you see the buses, they are colourful, good looking, and are always smiling at us. Why this differential faces for trucks and buses and why not have a makeover for trucks?

Mr. Johny Kuttan, who hails from Vypin, Kerala, is into fish transportation and runs a company by name Sachary Marine Services. He was struck with this idea, of having a unique a new face for his trucks.

He is into this business for quite some time and has a fleet of 40 trucks, from various brands.

He recently purchased a pair of Ashok Leyland 3718il and wanted to execute his idea in these trucks.

The idea was good, but it had its own challenges. In order to have a proper full entry door like a bus, the truck’s front over hang needs to be extended upto 400mm. The width of truck also was modified to suit the bus facia.

This front over hang extension will have an issue in front visibility and will increase the driver blind spot.

But despite challenges, the truck, aka “bus looking truck” was fabricated at Ms. Shaas Auto Craft, Madukarai, Coimbathore, Tamil Nadu. The body is  The truck was commissioned recently, and not to mention about the response its receiving from people.

The full aluminium corrugated puff container can accommodate, 444 fish boxes. The truck finally looked this way, and will definitely be a head turner for not just truck lovers but for a common people as well.
